I am a mom who runs. I run errands. I run the vacuum cleaner. I run the dishwasher. I run kids places. I run the household.

I also run on roads, on trails and on beaches ~ my favorite!

Run alongside me as we inspire, encourage and motivate one another to run Farther, run Faster and run Fearless.

Running with Grass Between My Toes

Vibram Five Finger ~ Komodo Sport
I can feel the grass between my toes in these!

My first run in them ~

I like them.

That first night I felt like I could run forever!
Running here on the road, but I like them best on sand and grass.

A few months ago, I thought I'd take my running shoes off  and run a quarter mile or so on the grassy path in the park. It was great! It reminded me of my early girlhood days of playing outside.
I remembered Red Rover, Red Light - Green Light, and tag ~ all played barefoot in the grass. I remembered play and fun and friends and hot summer afternoons, and supper ready ceasing outside play for another day.

So for my approaching birthday, at an age when a woman like me remembers barefoot play and yearns for blades of grass between her toes as she runs and runs under a summer sky, I asked for barefoot running shoes.
And if you think a 40 something woman running barefoot in a park gets a few glances, you should run with me when I wear the "frog feet."
But I don't care. Cause when I run, I remember fun.
And the grass between my toes.
